The quickest path: set your machine profile in the setup wizard, pick your material in Tool Recommender, then go to Feeds & Speeds. Watch the chip-load gauge — green is good, red means back off. The full walkthrough is in the Learn tab → Quickstart Guide.
Read the overview ↗One-page PDF covering the 8 tabs, the three-step workflow, chip-load gauge zones, and the most common setup mistakes. Print it, pin it near the machine.
Found a bug? Material profile wrong for your machine? A CNC I haven't covered? I want to know. This is a working shop tool — feedback makes it better.
ToolPath Advisor recommendations are calibrated starting points, not guaranteed safe values. Every machine, every bit, every board is different. Moisture content, spindle runout, workholding quality, and machine tramming all affect real-world cutting behavior in ways no calculator can predict. Always run a test cut in scrap material before committing to a finished workpiece. Start at or below the calculated feed rate and increase only after confirming the cut sounds and looks right. CNC machining involves rotating cutters, flying chips, and significant forces — observe all appropriate safety precautions for your machine and environment. Neumann Guitar and Willie Neumann accept no liability for damage to equipment, materials, or persons resulting from use of these recommendations.
